Details about the Trademark Attorney position:

  • Prepare and prosecute federal (and occasionally Texas state) trademark applications, including responding to Office Actions
  • Work with clients to determine the best strategy for their needs
  • Analyze availability searches and advise clients accordingly
  • Work with Principal Attorney to represent clients in TTAB cases and trademark disputes other than in state or federal court
  • The successful candidate must:
    • Excel in attention to detail and accuracy
    • Be organized, analytical, and systems/process/routine-oriented
    • Have excellent client collaboration skills
    • Have strong legal writing skills
    • Value the mutual support and respect of a team-oriented practice
    • Have significant trademark prosecution experience, ideally a minimum of 5 years
    • Be licensed in at least one U.S. state

In addition to Principal Attorney Gretchen McCord, our primary team member is our Firm Operations Manager, who is also a certified trademark paralegal. We collaborate with a network of attorneys and other professionals as needed.
